Weddings in the 21st century are smart, sassy, passionate celebrations of love and often colorful combinations of different cultures and philosophies. To extend their appreciation of each other to the planet has become an important component for many couples. Senseless pomp parties, which have been done a million times before, create tons of waste and are, as so perfectly demonstrated by Hurley/Nayar in 2007, only embarrassing. The new paradigm is "mindful indulgence". If we want to be the "wow" of the town that's the way to go. Every wedding planner asks you "to express your uniqueness". As an environmentally conscious couple a new array of innovative ideas is at your fingertips; it's shades of green reach from bold and revolutionary to sensible and careful. Wherever you are on the eco spectrum, when your wallet goes where your heart is you are not just exchanging one fad with another but you change the world with your shopping power. Green Weddings are
gorgeous and often more creative than white weddings. Best proof are the amazing couples we were so fortunate to assist since we opened our event planning business in Los Angeles in 2005. You can meet many of them in Angelica Weihs new book, The Beauty of Green Weddings, which will be available in October 2008. Pre-ordering will start in July. You can find some of their stories
on our portfolio website,

To be green or "greenish" manifests in
many ways: to use eco-friendly products, enjoy a gourmet caterer
of the organic kind, drive the newest Hybrid car or donate part
of our wedding checks to save wild horses in Arizona - there
is not limit to your eco imagination. Green is respect and love
for all creation and to balance human needs and Nature's flow.
Green means integration not separation, togetherness not competition.
Your part of the
150 Billion dollar wedding industry sends a clear
message: We love the planet and we'd like to keep it.
