What does consciousness have to do with it?
If your photographer loves nature and has respect for its creations
he/she will see different shades of life and naturally portrays life
from a broader, more sensitive view point. The result will feel
different.
On the practical side you might want to ask - and if only to raise
awareness - if your photographer recycles film packaging, inkjet and
laser cartridges. Does he/she offer paperless image workflow using
high-resolution digital photography, 100% electronic image exchange,
and document submission using PDF instead of proof prints which cause a
lot of waste?
